The Plot
Honestly, Melissa no longer knows if she needs this relationship with the eternal hassle. Nevertheless, she gives Josh one last chance, and agrees to go with him on the hike. However, the couple argues fiercely in everything - about what to take with them, where to rest, in which direction to go. As a result, they quarrel so much that they do not follow the road at all and stumble upon a strange hidden city. In Schmigadoon, all people talk exclusively in songs, as if they were in a second-rate musical. From their songs, Melissa learns that they will not be released until they find true love. And, as it is already becoming clear to the two poor fellows, it is useless to look for her in each other. The city has a church, farmers, and even a restaurant. True, it is unusual for non-local residents to listen to rhymed sermons and menus at the table.
