The Plot
To be honest, Jaak was a little annoyed that her husband's anxiety about her made her keep her mouth shut about the risks of her job. It would seem that she should be touched by how he worries about her, but the fact that he scandalizes and does not want to let her into the viruses infuriates her. If she, a scientist, at least a little, unlike civilians, versed in the topic, will sit back and avoid leakage, then who will warn everyone else? Moreover, the press is already sniffing out and trying to expose her, just the same and make her the one who meanly and cowardly hid the outbreak, although she herself is not averse to shouting about it. She did not believe the authorities, who took her for a fool and proved that even if the disease flared up, it would subside just as quickly. But, Lord, Jaak had the unfortunate monkeys in front of her eyes, and she could watch their infected fate without embellishment and smoothing the corners.
