The Plot
Sabi suffered for a long time and did not dare to tell his Pakistani parents about his non-binary. However, this soon became irrelevant, because he immigrated and started working in a themed cafe, where almost every visitor understands what's what and is somehow part of the community. He also babysits the children of the rich. Sabi is under pressure from cultural values that do not fit with his free-thinking and who he feels himself to be, with whom he wants to be and sleep with. He is afraid of pressure and feels that he does not live up to Pakistani traditions, which are closed to the changing liberal world. His boss, Paul, who also conducts therapy, for some reason sees his own family as a blind spot - he is inattentive neither to the children nor to himself, and his wife's sorrowful thoughts are real darkness. His daughter Bessie starts to rebel, and the younger ones, on the contrary, become quieter and stick to gadgets.
