The Plot
Maxine had long dreamed of joining Palm Beach society. And she didn’t just sit idly by and dream of recognition from all the cream of society. The woman took her vanity goal very seriously - she even made lists of what could be done in the presence of rich people, and what should absolutely not be allowed. She needed to find a guide who would introduce her to the “elite”, and then Maxine had to try not to lose face. Be self-sufficient, but not too cold. Charming, but don’t jump out of your pants trying to get anyone to make friends with her. And, most importantly, train yourself to have perfect etiquette! But not too prim. As a woman “improves,” she finds herself in many funny situations. It doesn’t matter that she’s a little girl now – she'll become one of the socialites!
