The Plot

Emma is not ashamed of being working class, but she has prejudices about her new acquaintance, the privileged «golden boy» with whom she spends time at the prom. All night they share their secret plans, but a year later Emma ends up in a very bad way - a ruined and unhappy waitress in a Mexican restaurant, with trampled ambitions and an unnecessary diploma. The boy became a comedian, a photographer, and generally looks at life with a positive attitude - after all, so far everything is working out for him! The young people meet again and, instead of chatting, decide to spend their time in a less platonic way. However, the guys can’t do it, and doubts gnaw at them: should they move to a new level or continue sending each other simple but sincere letters?
